Since 18 March 2020, the Swedish government recommends distance education for upper secondary schools, vocational training, and municipal adult education. Until further notice. No regular education will take place in the school facilities. However, upper secondary schools will stay be open to students who want to use equipment or in other ways need educational support from teachers.
Each school or educational institution will decide how to organise and carry out the dictance learning based on their respective prerequisites.
The Swedish Government has decided on temporarily changed regulations for Swedish schools. This will allow the head of each school to adapt education and school activities to the current situation.
Children and adults with cold symptoms and fever shall stay at home and not attend preschools or schools. This applies until symptom free, and 48 hours after that.

Extended care will be offered temporarily on weekdays, between the hours of 06:00 and 22:00, as well as nights and bank holidays.

Once you have applied, an officer of the municipality of Vaxholm will contact you within two working days.
The elderly are particularly vulnerable to the coronavirus covid-19 infection and we must do everything we can to protect their health. It is currently not allowed to visit nursing homes in Vaxholm. Visits at hospitals and other places where risk groups may be should be avoided if possible.
If you are over the age of 70 recommendations are that you stay away from places or situations where you might be exposed to the virus. We understand that many find this difficult, but if you can - ask for help with grocery shopping and other errands.
The Swedish Government has decided to temporarily forbid arranging events and gatherings of more than 50 people (attendees, participators and staff included), indoor as well as outdoor.
